1 - Data Collection

Our application does not collect any data for commercial purposes or share data with third parties. All data is stored locally on the user's device and remains under the user's full control.
 

1.1 - Location Data

Bike Computer collects and uses location data for the following purposes:

  • GPS Tracking: The app accesses your device's GPS location to record your cycling routes, track distance traveled, calculate speed, and display your position on the map in real-time.

  • Route Navigation: Location data is used to provide turn-by-turn navigation and show your progress along planned routes.

  • Activity Recording: GPS coordinates are saved locally on your device to create a complete history of your cycling activities.

Important: All location data is stored exclusively on your device. We do not transmit, share, or upload your location information to any external servers or third parties. Your location data never leaves your device.
 

1.2 - Other Data Collected

Our application only collects the data necessary for the operation of the app. This data may include:

  • Device information (language, model)

  • Battery information (level, voltage, charging status) for display purposes

  • Sensor data from Bluetooth devices (heart rate, cadence, power) when connected

  • GPX files imported by the user

All this data is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted externally.
 

2 - Data Storage and Security

We take data security very seriously:

  • All data collected by our app is stored locally on the user's device

  • No data is transmitted to external servers or cloud services

  • Data is protected by your device's security measures (encryption, lock screen, etc.)

  • You maintain full control over your data and can delete it at any time from within the app
     

3 - Data Sharing

We do not share any data with third parties. Your location data, activity history, and personal information remain private and are never transmitted outside your device.
 

3.1 - User-Initiated Sharing

The only data sharing occurs when you explicitly choose to export your activities:

  • GPX Export: You can manually export your routes as GPX files to share with friends or import into other applications

  • This sharing is entirely optional and initiated by you
     

4 - User Rights

You have complete control over your data:

  • Access: View all your stored activities and data within the app

  • Delete: Remove individual activities or clear all data at any time

  • Export: Export your activities in GPX format whenever you choose

  • No Account: No account creation or registration is required, giving you complete anonymity
     

5 - Third-Party Services
 

5.1 - Mapbox Maps

The app uses Mapbox for map display. When using maps:

  • Map tiles may be downloaded from Mapbox servers

  • This connection is only used to display maps and does not transmit your location data

  • Mapbox has its own privacy policy available at: https://www.mapbox.com/legal/privacy
     

5.2 - Bluetooth Sensors

If you connect Bluetooth sensors (heart rate monitors, cadence sensors, power meters):

  • Data is received directly from the sensors to your device

  • This data is stored locally and never transmitted externally

  • You can disconnect sensors at any time
     

6 - Children's Privacy

Our application does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app is designed for general audiences and does not require age verification. All data remains local to the device.
 

7 - Data Retention

  • All data is stored on your device indefinitely until you choose to delete it

  • You can delete individual activities or clear all app data at any time through the app settings or device settings

  • Uninstalling the app will remove all stored data from your device
     

8 - Changes to This Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time. All changes will be posted at this URL. We encourage users to periodically review this page to stay informed of any updates to our Privacy Policy.

Material changes will be highlighted with an updated "Effective Date" at the top of this policy.
